ScMI offers a unique and greatly needed certification program serving prime and subcontractor personnel by giving them the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver best value supplies, services and data and reduce performance risk in the execution of publicly-funded contracts. ScMI certification integrates certification standards with qualification standards based on experiential proof of process and discipline improvement.
The purpose of The Subcontract Management Institute (ScMI), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is to:- Establish and maintain the Subcontract Management Body of Knowledge (ScMBOK) as the Global Standard
- Develop and deliver Subcontract Management Certification Program (ScMCP) for Subcontract Managers (SCM) and Technical Representatives (TR)
- Provide prime and higher-tiered sub-contractor with knowledge, skills, competencies, tools and techniques to organizationally execute subcontracts more effectively, reduce performance risk, and deliver value to company shareholders and taxpayers
- Provide organizations and individuals (through their organization) the opportunity to become certified to enhance productivity, profitability, and their value proposition
- Provide Certification only when candidate has demonstrated they are Qualified; combines online, classroom, and experiential Training

The webinar was well-organized. Emphasis on ready the clauses was well-taken, but it would have been nice to share which clauses are most likely to be flowed down based on their purpose and context (OCI, Security, Ethics…).
The material was timely as I experienced commercial items FAR Part 12 issues last week. Instructors seemed knowledgeable and very easy to follow.

I have attended NCMA webinars in the past. This is the third SC-M-I webinar I have attended, and I enjoy them much more than the NCMA webinars, in part due to the presenters, and also because I appreciate the focus on subcontracts.
