Lenn Vincent, Rear Admiral, USN (Ret)
Vice Chairman, ScMILenn Vincent is an international educator, consultant, dynamic speaker, and a respected government and industry leader. He has taught and/or consulted in contract management, capture management, project management, supply chain management, and leadership. When he was the Commandant of the Defense Systems Management College (now the Defense Acquisition University), he presented views to foster a more viable and effective defense acquisition management system. For over 10 years as the Industry Chair and a professor at DAU, he used his Defense and Industry experience, expertise and perspective to advise government and industry clients on matters relative to contracting, program management, logistics, and supply chain management. He served on various DAU advisory councils and its academic review committee. As an independent consultant, he is repeatedly requested to hold training sessions on government source selection processes, acquisition, sub-contract management, and leadership. Because of his experience, he was asked to be part of the team that began the initial Level I-II-III contracting training program for the VA Acquisition Academy.
He is Past-President of the National Contract Management Association, served on its Board of Directors, and is a member of its Advisory Board. In these positions and as an active NCMA member, he is continually sought to participate and/or lead various training events.
In addition to a BA in Education, Lenn Vincent holds a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University. He also is a Certified Navy Material and Acquisition Professional, and is DAWIA Level III certified in both Contracting and Logistics.
